Outdoors Magazine
My Take: BC Outdoors
is British Columbia's premier hunting
and sport fishing authority for over 65 years, providing resident
and visiting outdoor sportsman with a variety of information about
hunting and fishing in this province. The magazine publishes
annually 7 fishing and 2 hunting editions. The articles range from gear
reviews, news, how-to- articles and destination stories. The BC
Outdoors website
contains up-to-date news, fishing and hunting blogs and a forum where
hunters and anglers can gather to exchange stories or just hang out and
socialize with other like-minded folks. I write the "Last Light" column
in the Hunting & Shooting edition, along with the occasional
deer
and turkey hunting articles. In addition I write a regular column
on the BC Outdoors Website Blog.

Sportsman Magazine
My Take:
Unlike the sister publication, BC Outdoors, the Western Sportsman
magazine covers all of the provinces of western Canada. The
magazine is
published 6 times per year. This is a true sportsman magazine, covering
a vast selection of interests in every issue from fishing to hunting
and gun reviews plus news and conservation issues, this magazine lays
it all out there in every single issue. The layout and an impressive
stable of Canada's best outdoor writers add to the
quality of this magazine. I contribute regularly articles on deer and
turkey hunting tactics to this magazine.

Great
Canadian Sportsman
My Take: This is a very
unique magazine. You could call it "the new generation" of publishing.
The magazine is available only on the Internet and it is free. All you
have to do is sign up and get access to three different web based
magazines. The Great Canadian
Sportsman
and the Canadian
Bowhunter Magazine are
published monthly whereas the Big
Game Hunter
Magazine is published annually. The magazines are well designed, the
articles consist of the perfect mixture of how-to, advice and review
pieces written by professional outdoor writers and entertaining hunting
stories by regular hunters. I occasionally contribute articles on deer and
turkey hunting to this magazine.

Edge
My Take:
The Outdoor Edge is Western Canada's most widely circulated hunting and
fishing magazine. It is the official voice of the Western Canadian Fish
and Wildlife Associations (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba,
Saskatchewan and the Yukon).and their associated local Fish and game
Clubs. It reaches thousands of readers across Western canada. this is
Western Canada's largest Hunting & Fishing
magazine jam-packed with resources for hunters and anglers, including
compelling columns and exciting feature articles from the most notable
experts in the hunting and angling community. I contribute regulalry
articles on deer hunting tactics, and deer behaviour.
